Dutch Meatballs

500 grams of minced meat
4 beschuiten or 40 grams of bread crumbs
1 Tbsp Verstegen minced meat seasoning
1 egg
100 grams of butter for frying
25 cc water
Splash of ketchup
Directions
- Put the beschuiten in a bowl and make them very small or use the ready-made bread crumbs instead.
- Add the seasoning, 1 egg and minced meat into the bowl and knead everything together.
- Make 4 meat balls or more if you like smaller ones. Put the butter in the pan and sear the meatballs at medium/high heat to seal the outsides.
- Lower the heat once they are browned all over and add a splash of ketchup and 25 cc of water to the pan.
- Roast the meatballs at low heat for another 30 minutes in the pan.
Notes
- Eet smakelijk and don’t forget to pore the gravy over the meatballs and potatoes for extra Dutch enjoyment
